No cookies. A little browser storage.
No tracking scripts, no advertising pixels, no analytics following you between pages. A few things are saved on your device so the cart and the reader remember where you were.

Cookies
Our pages set no cookies. The one exception is outside our code: if our hosting provider’s security system decides to check that a visitor is human, it may set a short-lived cookie to remember that the check was passed.
What your browser keeps
These are saved in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device and we cannot see them.
- opentrib.commerce-preview.v1: your cart and preview orders.
- opentrib.reader.prefs: reader settings such as theme, text size and zoom.
- opentrib.reader.<book>: one per sample you open, holding your place, bookmarks and highlights, or for the audiobook, the track, time and playback speed.
How to clear it
Clear site data for opentrib.com in your browser’s settings, or browse in a private window, where nothing is kept after you close it.
What would change this
Accounts. Staying signed in needs a strictly necessary cookie that keeps you logged in and does not follow you anywhere. Payments will involve a processor that sets its own cookies when you pay, for fraud prevention. We will list both here before either goes live.
What we are not planning
Advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, and selling or sharing behavioural data. If that position ever changes, it will be a visible change to this page with a date on it, not a quiet edit.
